On one trip I found this delightful bicycle…
I received a note from Wayne this morning saying that he has worked out the mechanics of posting microscope movies to YouTube. YouTube is emerging as the most popular service for sharing small videos — functioning in many ways as Flickr does for still images. And, like Flickr, YouTube allows its material to be inserted [...]
I have started a new page under documents called ISEA Exhibit Notes. Here we can post threads of work underway for the ISEA exhibit.
For instance, I worked a bit over the weekend to mockup a panel hanging system for the panels / images we would like to float over the background map:
The system is shown [...]
On Sunday we gathered at Greenbrae Boardwalk for a Hidden Ecologies information session and barbeque. Wayne led a contingent of neighborhood youth on a sample gathering hike along the marsh’s edge and I conducted an ever so brief demonstration of kite aerial photography under light winds.

I met Wayne and Marina yesterday for a bit of in situ strategizing on the project. As a bonus it was a fine day for flying the kite and collecting samples of the microlife community.
A low level aerial view of the small shell beach and the impressive floating mat. I find a serendipitous figure in [...]
We had a fine walk about Don Edwards in pleasant company yesterday. I kept spotting antennas on the drive home.
Comrades witnessing camera launch
I put together a quick panorama from aerial shots taken near the Dumbarton Gravel Quarry. The view includes the full extent of our walk and we are visible on the left-hand side in [...]
We will meet at noon on Sunday, July 9th, in the Upper Parking Lot of the Visitor Center, 9800 Thornton Avenue, Fremont, CA. Shown below is the predicted TIDE PLOT for Saturday and Sunday.
After our meeting yesterday I spent a fair bit of time thinking about how desirable it would be to make explicit connections between associated bits of information and insight that we have collected but not yet processed. Wayne and I spent some time at the end of the meeting inventorying our existing sites and sub-sites [...]
I found the whiteboard artifact from our mid-May brainstorming session.
